Uwharrie

Trail Map 2

This was are second trip to the Uwharrie National Forest and once again it was raining. When it rains out there it makes it all the more interesting. The hard packed trails become slippery slides of clay. We met up with some new people from East Carolina Jeep and 4x4 club. We had a great time and would like to thank J.R. for the introduction to his club. He was a great trail leader.

Our first trail run of the day, and look what we find. A little something to play on. This is Chris with his custom TJ-7, he made the climb look a little to easy. But upon his climb he stalled the engine and couldn't get it to start. So when we tried to push him back some, his front driveshaft separated. OK, time to get out the tow strap, and his wife with her 2000 TJ comes to the rescue.

From this trail we then went on to hit the Kodak Rock. It's a nice climb up, with a ledge right about in the middle of the climb. This area is getting harder and harder as it's used more and more.
