The frame I am using is a 1995 Wrangler frame. I will be doing a Spring Over Axle on it along with a shackle reversal and also painting it a hammerite blue. |

These were going to be the axles. They are out of a 1973 Jeep J truck, front D44 closed knuckle rear dana 60-2 semi-floater, both are 5 on 5 1/2 bolt pattern. Once tearing apart the D44, I decided not to use it, was pretty whimpy. At this time I had just picked up a 1978 Wagoneer and will be using it's front D44 axle. |
UPDATE--The D60 has 35 spline 1.5" axle shafts. I also lucked out with the brakes they are both the same front and rear drums. The rears are to bad to re-use so will be taking them and the ring and pinion from that front D44 closed knuckle.

This is the 360, T-18 with 6.32 first gear, and Dana 20 transfer case that came out of that 1973 Jeep J truck also. I will be using the T-18 and D20. The 360 I sold off, since I am using the 401 out of my 1978 Wagoneer. |
