AREA BFE, Moab, UT

11 Oct - 13 Oct '08

Trails ran were "Greenday", "Helldorado", "Minor Threat", and "Coyote"

Nugget and I arrived in Area BFE at around 5 a.m. Saturday, 11 October 2008, morning to high winds and cold temps. After a short few hours of sleep we were up and heading down Green Day while some of the others that had been there a few days went into town for supplies. It worked out to be perfect timing, as we were coming out of Green Day we met up with them at the beginning of Helldorado. So off we went up Helldorado, what a wicked trail, one hard obstacle after another and that waterfall at the end is no joke! We finished those two trails and went back to camp for cook out and some goose squeezin's, don't ask. That night we did a run up Minor Threat. For Sunday we used it for a repair day, one of us had broken some high steer studs off and had to replace their steering knuckle. The rest of us did what we had too and then some playing around in the Test Areas, took some video from our axles and what not. We got all the rigs running again and headed down the road a bit to a trail outside of Area BFE known as Coyote. This is now my new favorite trail, it was just obstacle after obstacle and the whole trail was short and hard! Just the way Brian likes them. After dinner that night we went back out on another night run up Minor Threat.

We headed out for Montrose, CO on Monday morning.
